DECOMMISSIONED

This weather station has been decommissioned due to several structural issues and sensor failures throughout deployment. Please refer to St Laurent Li Taan Aen Staansyoon_17060 for weather data for the St Laurent area.

A land based weather recording tower equipped with instruments and devices for observing atmospheric conditions. These provide data and information for weather forecasts and to study the weather and climate. The measurements taken include temperature, barometric pressure, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, and precipitation amounts.

Wind and gust speeds reported at St Laurent Li Taan Aen Staansyoon (13390) indicate speeds that would be felt nearby on the lake only when the wind blows from SSW through W to NNW. The anemometer is sheltered from the full force of the wind by trees in other directions. Wind and gust wind speeds are measured 3 m above the ground surface. Environment Canada and Manitoba Department of Agriculture weather stations report faster speeds because they are recorded on higher, 10 m towers.
