Supporting Black Canadian Communities Initiative (SBCCI) - Close Projects Capital Assistance From 2019 to 2022, the Supporting Black Canadian Communities Initiative (SBCCI) provided Capital Assistance funding to strengthen Black-led, Black-focused, and Black-serving (B3) nonprofit organizations across Canada. This financial support addressed unmet infrastructure and equipment needs. B3 organizations used these funds to improve their facilities through minor renovations or retrofits and to purchase equipment that better equips them to serve their local communities. The Supporting Black Canadian Communities Call for Proposals (CFP) aimed to strengthen the capacity of Black-led not-for-profit organizations in Canada. The program offered capital assistance to support these organizations in achieving two key objectives: - Enhancing their ability to fulfill their missions. - Improving their service delivery to Black communities across Canada. Eligible organizations could apply for grants of up to $100,000 to fund: - Purchases of equipment for their workspaces or community spaces. - Renovations or retrofits to improve the functionality of their existing workspaces or community spaces. This dataset only includes completed and closed projects.
