🗺️ Spatial Search
Spatial search lets you find datasets by location, either by drawing a bounding box, entering coordinates, or selecting a pre‑defined area. Results are filtered and sorted by the location you specify.
The spatial search tool is found on the Home page and the Data Catalogue main page.

1️⃣ Drawing a Bounding Box
- Select DRAW ON MAP.
- Navigate to your area using the map controls.
- Click and drag to draw a box around the area. Coordinates appear automatically in the boxes.
- Click APPLY AND SEARCH to view datasets.

2️⃣ Entering Coordinates
- Select ENTER COORDINATES.
- Input latitude and longitude values.
- Click APPLY AND SEARCH to view datasets.
💡 Tip: Duplicate coordinates if you want to search for a single location point.

3️⃣ Selecting Pre‑defined Areas
- Click SELECT LOCATION.
- Choose from CanWIN’s pre‑defined areas.
- Click APPLY AND SEARCH to view datasets.
