The Churchill Marine Observatory (CMO) is a research facility located in the town of Churchill, a sub-Arctic town in northern Manitoba. CMO is situated along the shoreline of western Hudson Bay and is adjacent to Canada’s only Arctic deep-water port. Led by the University of Manitoba, CMO is comprised of numerous modern labs and facilities, allowing researchers to conduct world-leading science in the Arctic and for the Arctic. The two main components of CMO are: the Ocean-Sea-Ice-Mesocosm (OSIM) Facility; and the Environmental Observing (EO) System.
