Fraction of Absorbed Photosynthetically Active Radiation (FAPAR)

Fraction of absorbed photosynthetically active radiation (FAPAR) data describe the proportion of incoming sunlight in the photosynthetically active range that is absorbed by vegetation canopies. These data products support monitoring of plant productivity, vegetation health, crop and ecosystem modelling, carbon cycle studies, and assessment of seasonal and long-term changes in terrestrial ecosystems.
