Through a collaboration between University of Manitoba, Arctic Eider Society and Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Arctic Eider Society staff (local community members) have collected and processed water samples bi-weekly to monthly from summer 2023 to present. Samples were collected for nutrients (nitrate, phosphate, and silicate), salinity, coloured dissolved organic matter, delta-O18, chlorophyll-a, particulate organic carbon and nitrogen, pH, and total alkalinity. In 2026, we will add sea ice collection to this time series.
