In 2020, Katelyn Rodgers, a master's student at the University of Manitoba, began a historical study of nutrient exports and the impacts of climate change on the Swan Lake watershed over 30 years. I am looking specifically for any changes in nutrient loading in the Swan and Woody Rivers via nutrient data from Manitoba Agriculture and Resource Development and historical precipitation data from Environment Canada. With this data, I plan to also examine for changes in runoff and precipitation to see if these factors have influenced changes in nutrient loading.
