Since 2001, weather stations collecting hourly weather information have been deployed by Parks Canada staff at five locations for varying periods. In this value-added product, we have (1) merged all data files from each observing location; (2) cleaned the data to ensure consistent column headers, time zone information, NA treatment, and units; (3) performed quality assessment and control procedures (including removing spurious values like negative snow depth and relative humidity), and (4) created a separate gap-filled average temperature field using other nearby weather stations for the two stations with long enough records (June Valley and Owl River).
