SAMSIM-estuary is a thermodynamic sea-ice model. It is a modified version of SAMSIM3.0.

  • SAMSIM-estuary solves the bulk salinity and stable isotopic composition of sea ice forming from a large range in seawater salinity.

  • SAMSIM-estuary produces a more realistic representation of sea ice growing under regional variations of ocean salinity, such as heavily influenced river coastal marine environments.
